Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, CleanAir is dedicated to helping communities access stay healthy. As global temperatures have risen due to Climate Change, wildfires have become far more common in America. Wildfires are the most common in western states like California where droughts have exasperated these issues. Wildfire smoke has been linked to various respiratory challenges that can be especially harmful to vulnerable community members.

CleanAir aims to help streamline the process of helping people in the Bay Area find air purifying units they can use to keep themselves and their households safe from harmful air pollution.

Additionally, other harmful effects of wildfire smoke are still being discovered. Emerging research has pointed to declining cognitive function and neurological degeneration as a possible impact of exposure to the specific particulate matter in wildfire smoke. Work to address public health and wildfire smoke pollution remains critical.
